SynopsisEdit

When an attempt to destroy the virus changes the future, Cole finds himself stranded in 2016 with an unstable Jennifer Goines, who may or may not be his key to getting home. Meanwhile, Jones and Railly must deal with both the consequences of the changed timeline and the temporal facility's newest prisoner - Ramse.[1]

TimelineEdit

2016Edit

Cole convinces Jennifer not to release the virus, and Railly stands down. She and Cole destroy Jennifer's entire supply of virus; Ramse does not stop them but refuses to participate. The destruction of the virus changes history significantly, but Cole, Railly, and Ramse remember the previous timeline thanks to the time-travel drug they have taken. Railly wants to kill Ramse, but Cole stops her. She then injects Ramse with the tether meant for Cole, and they splinter back to 2044, abandoning Cole.

Jennifer guides Cole to the Emerson Hotel. There, the manager recognizes Cole and gives him the key to room 607, claiming that a James Cole purchased the room in perpetuity in 1944. Jennifer is increasingly upset and unstable and feels bereft of purpose after choosing not to spread the virus. She attacks and seduces Cole. Cole calms her and tells her she needs to find her own purpose. She then leaves to go look for it.

In the hotel room, Cole finds a photograph of himself and Railly from 1944, with the name "T.H. Crawford" written on the back. Railly later splinters back from 2044 to retrieve Cole. She gives him a note from the older, future Jennifer saying "I found my purpose."

2044Edit
